Previous Projects
A few projects that we were privileged to build
Twix Spoon | Mars Incorporated
We utilized 3D scanning to duplicate a nearly extinct spoon for Mars. This spoon pushes the caramel onto the Twix cookie.

After 3D scanning the existing piece, we used a blend of organic and parametric design software to reduce polygon count and make a clean, 3D printable file. We were then able to assist in the tooling and injection molding of this part that allowed Twix to continue being made.

Articulated Doll | The Doll for All
This project is a demonstration of the artistic and engineering capacity of STRACT. There has not been a single doll mass-manufactured in the US since the 80's. Aysha's Friends (The Doll for All) is revitalizing US-manufactured dolls that are articulated and tailored to children with limb differences.

Electroplated Die Plates
STRACT partnered with Oak Ridge National Laboratory to conduct research in electroplating die plates with a custom blend of nickel and titanium. This was funded by a $105,000 grant awarded to STRACT via the RevV! program.

As of 2025, this research is still being conducted in partnership with the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
